PostHeaderIcon Is it important to study the Russian language?

Is it important to study the Russian language? What’s the importance of learning it, aside from being one of the most spoken languages, being a United Nations offcial language, and its importance in the field of science and discovery?

Please don’t give stupid, insensible and racist answers. Thank you.

It is spoken by huge popullation ( in most of former soviet union republics it was mandatory language at school ), but it is very close to other slavonic languages, with similar grammar bases ( they can partially understand some basic words or the general meaning of the sentence ) . .. it is main language of one huge language group and it is becomming very popular also in western Europe and America.

I can understand, write and talk Russian a bit, but I would LOVE to speak and understand more.

PostHeaderIcon I wonder whether there is abroad wishing to study Russian language, by Skype ?

The idea of this, perhaps not new, mutual learning a foreign language by Skype, where to find these volunteers? course if they have?
I like interesting following languages:
Spanish, Italian, French, German, English, the latter somehow speak within the primary level. movies certainly have not translating, but English can be the key for other languages, unintelligible words to write in a chat, and then transferred either by using machine translation dictionaries, or based on other words to try to catch the meaning …

i will prefer russian

PostHeaderIcon Is it better to learn Proper recitation, Tajweed first before studying the arabic language?

Assuming one can read Quran but not with tajweed

One needs to learn Tajweed along with the Arabic language. Even though Tajweed is strictly a science related to the Qur’an. Learning proper Tajweed prior to learning Arabic would make everything much easier.

PostHeaderIcon Would studying basic italian or portuguese ruin any subsequent study of spanish? Would I confuse the two?

Would studying a romance language ruin my chances of studying another? Would I be more likely to confuse italian with spanish if I stop at a basic level or if I continue to fluency? Keep in mind I’m talking about the languages mentioned above as well as romanian but not french or any other languages, so it’s really a question for people who have studied a romance language and then went on to another.

It would help you, not confuse you, I guess

Unless you’re a very "confusing" person… LOL
